My First Week as a Junior UX Designer

After finishing Love Circular and my first freelance project I decided to begin job-searching properly. As you can tell from the title, this went somewhat well.

I recently began my first UX Design position at Social Plug; a start-up focused on creating a platform which enables both local and online businesses to quickly attract influencers with a product offering and then receive branded content in return.

Here’s a look at some of what I’ve been working on.

As the sole designer at my company, oftentimes I have to wear many hats and create graphic design work, as can be seen above, alongside working on UX/UI design.

Due to having a background in graphic design, I don’t find this to be too much of an issue at all, largely due to the fact that I’ve missed working on graphic design projects anyway.

Outside of creating brand design for Social Plug this week, I’ve also began work on social media content and I’ll be making a start on UI designs soon.

All in all, I’m definitely enjoying my new role and look forward to building my personal brand further, continuing to deliver value and further honing my skills as a UX Designer.
